Largo, FL: In 2013, Owners Tanya and DeLisa took what they call a “leap of faith” to start their food business. Both employees at Capital One Bank, they realized their passion wasn’t being filled after making a delicious Mother’s Day granola gift for Tanya’s mother. She was looking for a healthy snack that wasn’t packed with the white sugar and brown syrup fillers so often seen in treats but with the same great taste. Tanya and DeLisa went to work and invented their best seller, Fruits N’ Oats. It wasn’t long after that their gourmet granola and toasted oats spread throughout their company and the requests started coming in.
Both owners continue to see growth in sales and plan to grow personally and help grow others. They’ve started the Spread Your Oats Project where they take the extra supplies of granola from the kitchen and incorporate it into bagged lunches. Then they head downtown and give the lunches to locals in need.
